Daytrip Southern Bavaria Pre-alpine River

Together, we fish in an approximately 15-meter wide river in beautiful southern Bavaria. Expected catches are hard-fighting rainbow trout und brown trout ranging in size from 40cm to 60cm and graylings around 35cm. The river is consistently easy to wade through and has numerous gravel banks and beautiful runs for dreamlike fishing.
On one such gravel bank, we will enjoy our lunch cooked by the water and round it off with a final cup of coffee.
Here is the daily schedule:
- Arrival at the water around 7:30 AM (depending on the season)
- Fishing together until around 13:00 PM Lunch with a large steak from the cast iron pan, rustic sauce, and organic bread.
- Alternatively, there's also freshly caught fish.

The stream alternates between wild, rushing waters and serene pools as it carves through the gorge, offering exceptional fishing for healthy, beautifully-marked brown trout.
Under optimal water conditions, excellent alpine dry fly fishing is possible.

Flyfishing on a secluded Mountain Stream

Note: Basic physical fitness required!
Here we experience classic alpine fishing. Every small pocket holds a wild brown trout, eagerly waiting to strike a tempting dry fly. On rare occasions, you might even catch a grayling.
The further we move towards the valley's end, the wilder the landscape becomes. Certain sections of the river cannot be waded and provide a natural refuge for the fish.
Once you reach the top, you'll witness a completely different world. Absolute solitude, away from any paths, combined with beautifully marked fish, makes this guided trip an extraordinary nature experience.

In some stretches of the river, fantastic sight fishing is possible, a special thrill.

The Bavarian Alpine foothills offer wonderful fishing here, with very easy wading conditions.
As you follow the stream upstream toward a waterfall, the river becomes narrower and more varied. Beautifully marked brown and rainbow trout are waiting to be caught here.
This river is highly recommended, especially for beginners.

Flyfishing in Grayling Paradise (Austria)

This river offers a spectacular view and an impressive volume of water. However, if you know where to look, you'll find beautiful runs and excellent gravel bars that are easy to wade.
Fast-moving gravel runs often hold large numbers of grayling measuring between 45cm and 55cm. Very large, strong-fighting rainbow trout are also quite common here.
Good physical fitness is recommended, as anglers frequently need to climb steeper banks to reach their dream fish.

This river is a true jewel of Mother Nature. Quick rippling stretches, excellent runs, and deep pools characterize this beautiful water. Even though the river carves through deep, overhanging gorges, it is consistently easy to wade through and manageable even for inexperienced flyfishermen.
Wild browntrout are plentiful, ranging in size from 25cm to 40cm.
On secluded gravel banks in the middle of a dreamlike nature, we enjoy snacks, lunch, or even savor a freshly caught trout fried in butter.
This trip is a once-in-a-lifetime event!
